As a catechist you are invited to join us August 25th for a regional catechist formation day which includes Mass, breakfast, lunch, ministry break-outs and a keynote speaker.  All catechists are included in this day together from preschool to adult bible studies.  Many regional churches are joining us for this day away at Our Lady of Nazareth. More information will follow as we get closer to the event. St. Andrew will cover the cost for our catechists to attend this important gathering!

How is catechesis different than teaching?
We echo our faith so we can better witness!

Please contact Kathy Boyer at 344-9814 or kboyer@standrewsroanoke.org for more information about the Catechetical ministry at St. Andrew's.
"We want a laity…who know their religion, who enter into it, who know just where they stand, who know what they hold and what they do not, who know their creed so well that they can give an account of it, who know so much history that they can defend it."                            - John Henry Cardinal Newman

Per the Diocese of Richmond, all volunteers who work with youth under the age of 18 must complete Safe Environment requirements. The VIRTUS training session is "Protecting God's Children", which is a child sexual abuse awareness training.
